new 2a teams

Aurora Christian and Providence will make 2A interesting. Could they end up in the sectional with Washington, if so who comes out of it.

I don't see all 3 being in the same sectional, but I do see 2 of the 3. Providence could end up with Aurora or Washington.

I still think Washington is the team to beat this year.

JCA and Civic Memorial petitioned up to 2A. Mt. Carmel, PCHS, Marist, and Marian Catholic petitioned up to 3A.

If they can stay healthy this year I will take Lemont to win 2A.

Could certainly see them being a threat. Id have to imagine this is their best chance for the foreseeable future since they seem to be pretty senior heavy

Lemont and Oak Forest, and large 2A's like them generally have solid teams. 2A will be more interesting than 3A in the team competition. Lemont is ranked top 5, so of course they could win. I will take the longshot pick of Bloomington.

They will probably be in a regional with Washington which is a shame, but the Washington program is definitely on a steady decline. I think they have 2 more solid years, but they are more mortal. Lemont looks good, but they will need people outside of their 4 or 5 heavy hitters to come up big. The parity in 2A is revitalizing.
