Max Schneider

Always wondered where Max Schneider ended up, thought he was out of wrestling. He was exciting to watch in high school, especially with his Judo background. Looks like he is back on the mat at San Francisco State. Good for him.

That kid had such a bright future coming out of high school. He turned down the Illini for more money from a Cali school. Then he left abruptly after his freshman year and I didn't hear anything about him until fairly recently when he joined his current school, which appears to have a small college schedule. With proper coaching and more time to develop, he could've been an all american.

For more money?? Sounds like sour grapes from a jilted Illini fan.
He had several shoulder injuries in high school and college which i believe is a big part of why you didnít hear as much about him as you might have expected.

They had an interview with him in one of the Chicago papers in which he flat out said he went to the Cali school because it was financially of more benefit to him than what Illinois was offering. His words.
