IKWF double elimination

Now that the IHSA has finally come to their senses, will the IKWF finally go to double elimination also???

I have proposed double elimination for the entire State Series the past 2 years.

Never enough votes to pass

It only adds 5 hours of wrestling to the tournament. Deffinately enough breaks in the tournament now to fit double elimination in.

Totally agree. In addition to that ... Is the concept of bracket flipping that hard to adopt. The IHSA has been doing it since probably around 1984. Crazy.

The IHSA does basic seeding.
What does the IKWF do ?
- Draw letters from a hat
- Possible single elimination
- No bracket flipping
- Walk-overs
- Sorry kid, you worked your *** off all year, but that's all we got for you.

I'm sure there will be someone to come into this thread and will try to give some lame reason why we shouldn't bracket flip, but nobody ever provides a good reason.

There is so little wrestling and a huge break in wrestling on the Sunday, that the few extra matches could easily be added. Completely unfair to the kids.
