The sectional pairings would be as follows, in bracket order:

Aurora Central Catholic vs. Rock Falls
Olympia vs. Clifton Central
Bowen vs. Wilmington
Auburn vs. Anna-Jonesboro
Mercer County vs. Lena-Winslow/Stockton
Vandalia vs. Belleville Althoff
Hope Academy vs. Walther Christian
Tremont vs. Beardstown

Aurora Central Catholic advanced because first-place Aurora Christian entered only nine wrestlers. A team must enter 10 wrestlers to be eligible to advance.

Stockton has been a co-op in wrestling with Lena-Winslow for decades. I finally got with the program and listed them as part of the name this year. It made the Stockton fans and parents very happy, I'm told. As you're probably aware, they're big rivals in football and have played each other in the playoffs several times.

Wow. LWS and Dakota in the same regional and now LWS v Mercer in the team sectional. That's just criminal.

Stockton has made up the majority of the team the past few years. Especially this year.

In the early eighties Stockton did some budget cuts and dropped wrestling. The program was having trouble finding a head coach at the time. I don't remember the year but Lewin approached Stockton with a CoOp offer and the rest is history
