How hard would it be to seed the team state tournament using individual team scores? I know its a different animal, but its better than what they do now by a long shot.

It's a totally different animal...because Wilmington and Leroy are on a different level when it comes to a dual team tournament...

So, what you are saying is that its better that they face each other in the first round? A lot of teams ahead of them wont even be there so they would probably be the 3 and 4 seeds. Opposite sides of the bracket. Which is the better option if the are "on a different level?"

You haven't learned your lesson yet? Never use an individual tournament to pick teams for a dual tournament. That's what we're using the regionals to do, and that's why everybody's complaining. Why do you think everybody's arguing about Marist and Lemont?

The fact is that wrestling is actually two sports in one. Tournament wrestling and dual meet wrestling are separate sports. And the bigger the tournament, the more different they are.

Well, now you are putting words in my mouth...seeding teams would be a good idea, but not in the way you want ...I'd have coached seed the top 16 teams and separate them at regionals, and have them placed into team sectionals based on the coaches seeds...or something similar to that...or just have it all at the STM DUAL TOURNEY...Any team could enter...seed it, separate seeds by pool, then bracket it after pools are done...the IWCOA could sponsor it...

No, Mr. Sherrill, I do realize this. I am just looking for ANY better way than the blind schematic we are using. I liked the old way of having the top 4 teams from regionals wrestle a double dual inbetween regionals and sectionals. I do realize why they went away from it, but still liked it better.

Or a better way that would work more geographically, seed the top 8 teams in the sectionaland put #1 and #8 in a regional, numbers 2 and 6 in one and do on...then u have the top 4 frim the regiinals wrestle like we do now based on seeds...
