From what we've seen, year-in, year-out, I would say ABSOLUTELY.

FARGO QUALFIER t-shirts look great on Facebook.

Freestyle state thoughts..

Place top 4 only. 5/6th place athletes can hit second chance or a regional.
How will our athletes be prepared for Fargo success if we don’t let athletes wrestle younger than cadet and junior ?

My only complaint is on Sunday, several weights had matches to create the cross bracket or 3 wrestlers on a side left using in line brackets. Now if it was a large weight class entrance wise and the athlete had wrestled 6 matches, I understand the Sunday morning completion of the in line placements. But in a few weight classes wrestlers had to get a hotel room and wrestle again Sunday morning their 4/5th match of the weekend to be eliminated. Everyone who wrestles Sunday should be placers. Unless the bracket is so large they exceeded the match limit of 6.

Overall, a great freestyle state event. Saw a lot of great wrestling and coaches. Stayed for the girls event. Love the exhibition matches they allowed to match up some elite athletes and some new to the sport athletes.

Only complaint is U of I needs to get more food choices for the wrestlers. Maybe allow a local subway to bring in a few hundred sandwiches?

Great job Illinois wrestling. And man our cadet team is loaded.

I think the training camp experience is well worth it.

Papa Bear is correct.

Anything less than 3rd at Freestyle or Greco State cannot get you to Fargo no matter if everyone in front of you qualifies thru a Regional qualifier.

The IL-USA loves for as many kids namely cadets and juniors to qualify thru regional qualifiers or uuw because that just gives our state more openings to petition in as well as taking away spots from other states at those regional qualifiers.
