Track has the Conant tournament which does not seem to quite be the tournament it used to be. Also on track is the Antioch tournament. Nice 2 day tournament run like the Cheesehead.

The Antioch tournament is nice to get your kids a lot of matches early in the year. The competition is not too stiff, so your younger kids and not so good kids can develop and learn. We went to Conant for years and a lot of our younger kids would go 1-2 or 0-2. This year they went 3-5 or 4-5 or something like that. One or 2 kids got 10 matches in. Don't get me wrong, there are some hammers there, but not an abundance of them

to be honest, was surprised how weak it was compared to years past. Hard to read who good Sandburg really is.

Antioch as well, you had 2 top 2a schools and a tough Indiana team, and that was about it. Bloomington had a great showing, but expected more from Deerfield.

Was looking forward to Bates vs Goodman at 195 but Goodman wrestled 220.
Cramer was really unchallenged at 182, 170 Connell rolled past Chism, Jens, and Curtis Smith? I believe his only challenge will be Ferrante in Jan.

They were tremendous. Great victories for Jake Harrier and DJ. Hamiti. Hamiti getting the pin against Intermat's #4 in the country. Harrier and Danny Pucino will meet again at Dvorak. Good to see Jack Milos healthy. It appeared that on every takedown, he immediately went for a turn and a pin. Congratulations to the job Ryan Cumbee, Jim Kappas and the rest of the coaches at Joliet Catholic are doing to build up that program.
