Exclamation Future Finalsit-Race for the Belt!!

We are working on the list of where the Top 25 guys at each age group are going into Regionals. (point wise)

We are hoping to have that posted by the end of the week.

Remember you had to have wrestled in EITHER the USA Winter Nationals OR the Jon Davis Open in order to qualify to win the belt along with wrestling in the Future Finalist AND IKWF Regionals.

I think in the future there should be more points for Winter National and Future Finalist placers vs John Davis and Regional which seem to be much less competitive.

only item you may want to fix...give more points to kids that bump up from intermediate to novice and bantam to intermediate at regionals. right now i'm sure it will keep a few of the top kids from doing so in the chase for the belt.

We have thought about this from Day 1....the only problem that it is not an opportunity that is available to everyone in the division.

It would be an unfair advantage to those swing year kids 6-8-10 yoa.

We have been unable to come up with a viable solution to this.

If you have a suggestion pm me.....

Last year there was about 8-12 kids who chose to bump up and forego winning the belt....which was the correct choice....IMO....

Four year olds can't bump to Bantam, seven year olds can't bump up to Intermediate, and nine year olds can't bump up to novice so the ones that could bump up would be given an unfair chance to beat wrestlers who are trying just as hard to win the belt.

Best midgets in the state are trying to go novice state so they are not worried about a toy belt. Cool as it is...but they are kids and almost every kid likes trinkets! IKWf should find a a solution to this....simply add 1 extra point for every tournament wrestled up..2 if placed in top 3.........could be that simple! And not just tournaments on track wrestling!
