Illinois Matmen
STATE COLLEGE, PA • Today is all that matters. Friday has been wrestled out and the Challenge Tournament has been completed—all of the everything will now play out over the next few hours inside of the Bryce Jordan Center in Happy Valley.
For Illinois, there are three wrestlers who will try to hand-fight their way to Paris. Of all three stars, none shines brighter than Kamal Bey. One of the most electric Greco wrestlers on the mat, he can excite a crowd and turn a match around within a split second.
Along with Bey, Joe Rau has made his way back onto the scene and here he is, exactly where he needed to be. He has been tough to beat, and in his match up, he has a familiar opponent.
Finally, Ellis Coleman, a seasoned veteran as well, has simply wrestled fantastically to get into the best-of three finals. He has created havoc for his opponents and looks as good, if not better, than he ever has.
