Nate Cummings, Sr, Downers Grove North, 113 – The Purdue commit won Whitlatch with a fall in the finals over HM Catron Frazier (Glenbard West). Now 18-0 on the season with 11 pins.
Fabian Lopez, So, DeKalb, 126 – Won Whitlatch in dominant fashion with a fall, two tech falls, and a major. Named tournament OW.
Garrett Passmore, Sr, Erie-Prophetstown, 160 – Went 7-0 on the week winning the E-P Holiday tournament with two pins, a tech, and a major in the finals. Named co-OW for the upper weights. 19-0 on the season.
Joe Roberts, So, Yorkville, 145 – Went 4-0 on the week defeating 2A #1 Blaize Punke (Washington) 7-5, State Qualifier Brock Montford (CLC) 11-1, Jake Valoria (St. Rita) 7-2, and Syler Larson (Sycamore) by fall for his 11th pin of the year.
Patrick Ryan, Sr, New Trier, 145 – The undefeated senior won Whitlatch defeating two undefeated wrestlers along the way in HM Josh Ramos (Providence) and #6 Liam Drury (Hinsdale Central).
Sergio Villalobos, Sr, Downers Grove South, 195 – Won Whitlatch after finishing runner-up the past two seasons defeating Blah Dahnweih (DeKalb) in the final. This 1st team All-State football player is currently 19-0 on the season and just broke the school record for career pins at DGS last week.
