Another week with a record number of nominations! The Illinois Matmen staff has narrowed down the list to 5 deserving nominees.

VOTE NOW for the GO EARN IT High School Wrestler of the Week! The poll closes on Wednesday morning at 8am central time.

And the nominees are (sorted alphabetically):

Colton Drousias, Jr, Mt Carmel, 113 – Went 6-0 at the Cheesehead earning bonus points in all but 1 match, beating ranked wrestlers from 3 states, and leading Mt Carmel to the team title.
Alex Friddle, Sr, Coal City, 132 – Won his 4th PIT championship becoming only the third wrestler in the history of the tournament to do so. Named OW of the lower weights.
Logan Lee, Sr, Orion, 285 – Won the PIT in his season debut after returning from a football injury. Named OW of the upper weights.
Jace Punke, Sr, Washington, 195 – Went undefeated at The Clash winning 6 matches and was only on the mat for 181 seconds.
Jake Stiles, Sr, Montini, 152 – Won the Doc Buchanan tournament in California in an absolutely loaded 152 pound bracket.
