Not trying to make it difficult...but defining what a thread related to wrestling is an important subject because this is the offseason and every thread can not and has not always been about wrestling. This is all new the complaints by people about wrestling topics...in the off season...and who starts the thread and who continues the thread and the content of the thread...I have never seen so many complaints about it before...yet the top posters respond and if a thread deviates in any way then there is apmail to admin...I just think there needs to either be some latitude or a strict line...ones everyone knows the parameters I will help you admin keep people on target...see I got a ton of pmails from this junglewinner last night (of which I saved) which really peed me off...no one starts more threads related to wrestling than me and he accused me of being the problem and that was B.S. ...so I know if I get pmails then you do too...so since I don'twant to be the problem that leaves me too choices...either don't post topics or know what I can post...this guy really pissed me off since I was not even on the board when you had whatever problem you had...would you like copies of the pmails...:eek:

The newbies are just trying to frame TP because they want to be apart of TP but can't!

At times, yes. I know I'm guilty of adding my off topic comments at times. I think it just gets difficult when there are 10 pages with only a few posts relating to the wrestling topic that was originally brought up. I'm not sure if making a non-wrestling forum was the best solution. Maybe make a limit on the number of off-topic posts each user gets per thread. HA, good luck with that one. During the season when it matters most, off-topic comments tend to either get ignored or are quickly brought back to topic. I don't know why everyone kept saying the board was dead without the LOCK. I thought it was just fine and I don't really care if he stays or goes. I think he does offer some good info about 1 out of every 10 posts. Maybe everyone should focus more of quality and not quantity and then we don't need to be monitored so closely, have posts deleted, threads relocated, etc.

We do like everyone in the wrestling community, but now that there is a new forum for posting non wrestling related topics, would it be possible for those that like to talk back and forth on non related topics to use that board? I am thinking that would solve the problem. There are a few that like to post to each other, and that could still be done on the non wrestling related board.

I think that would work, and I am sorry for posting this on the AA board.

To my knowledge, it can't be done. Admin could possibly put Mod Approval on all posts in Non-Wrestling, but that would take FOREVER.

Obviously, the majority, by a two out of three margin, agree that there is too much off topic stuff. Just take it to the non-wrestling Board, and I think everyone will probably be happy (well, you can't make everyone happy, but you know what I mean). Better yet, creat a Team Punishment "domain". People should know not to go to the non-wrestling board (or Team Punishment board) unless they are ready to rumble; and the people that don't want to rumble with Team Punishment, don't have to get caught in the melee.

Topics will stray form time to time, like when talking about college comitments, and instead of wrestling, one plays football, or baseball, people may be intrested in what or how that person is doing. I agree, while it was very informative and intresting reading, what did all the posts regaurding political views, and the myspace(yes I even participated in that thread) really have to do with wrestling? Even though things may get off topic for a while, and start to stray, bottom line is that they ALWAYS come back to wrestling, some sooner than others. I guess I don't really understand why newer people are afraid to post because they can(if they so choose) to hide behind a screen name. Everyone knows the saying about opinions and butts, and even some of the biggest and most common posters have expressed their points of view that 90% of the forum doesn't agree with, but they continue to post and on the flipside, how many posts have they made with great insight, knowledge, and concern for the wrestling community? I guess my bottom line is that according to the IHSA it is the off season, so whats the harm in keeping the people that made this board the way it is today around, even if things drift from time to time? The bashing could and should take a backseat, but remember where you get most of your info from, in season and out, its from the big players alot of you are bashing.

Lately with all this Team Punishment crap the board seems alot more like a private chat board amongst a bunch of teen age girls. "Like I know what you mean Hulk,Team Punishment rules forever", "yeah Lock your in it for life" blah, blah,blah.

When you get Lock or Twist to post their own,non influenced opinions the board pops. With the exception of Lockjaw they all know their wrestling and are interesting. But this lil group of guys that hang on each others balls is boring.

Lock when you introduce a good topic I am there. Sometimes you throw out stuff just to create controversy and thats cool too.

I understand friendship and loyalties and teammates but the whole team punishment thing went beyond a fun thing to a monopoly on every thread to the point that the threads became boring. Your a grown man. Articulate your own insightful opinion without hanging on a guy like LockJaws balls because he is a member of your "team".
