No more rankings? That sucks. It's unfortuante someone had to ruin the hardwork of one individual. That's life I guess. PLease keep the tournament results pouring in though. Thanks IESA RANKSTER.

Someone has to ruin it for the 100's of kids that loved seeing their names up there. A feeling of pride no matter what they were ranked. Leave it to an adult to ruin it for the kids.

i agree although i think rankings dont mean that much they are still fun to look at and for the junior high kids its cool for them to see their names on it

IESA RANKSTER,
The public has spoken and they want their rankings back. If one kid hates being ranked first, then ignore him because I know thousands of kids who want to be ranked first. Bring back the rankings for the thousands of kids that want them and for the fans of the best sport in the world.
I should run for president in 20 years.:p

I am confused. What happened that obviously brought an end to rankings? Did someone cry and complain? What's the real story?

i think sometimes parents should shut their mouths and sit back and relax about things.. its kinda hard to get accurate rankings just think hoiw many kids are out there you should enjoy his predictions not hate em

I liked the rankings because it rewarded wrestlers for their hard work and improvement. Sure, they just got their name on a list, but it was an honor to see that someone else recognized the wrestler's accomplishments. I think he did a pretty good job. No one can know the whole state. Maybe the rankster will take another shot at it. Some people look forward to them.

I'm as surprised as anyone that there wouldn't be anymore rankings, mostly because I was planning on doing them.
I didn't start ranking until after a couple of tournaments last year, so I was planning on doing my first round after the Channahon tournament coming up this Saturday. I've also heard that all the tournament brackets are going to be posted, which I was waiting on to help.
It's not that I'm afraid of offending wrestlers, parents, or coaches. I just don't want to be so far off that no one puts any faith in my rankings.
Fear not, loyal followers, there will be rankings as long as The Rankster is allowed to post.

Just to appease you, I've ranked the top five reasons why there have been no rankings so far:
1. Not enough tournaments and duals to rank top 6
2. No one posting information on their school (wins, strong wrestlers, etc)
3. Lack of posted results from tournaments and duals
4. General public anger at the fact that there are rankings
5. Don't know where returning State Qualifiers are weight-wise
