Keep in mind the News Gazette tries to spread things out between all of the area schools and doesn't always put the area's "best" in their list. I guess when it is a combo of A and AA you're going to have that.

Honestly...I didn't mean that but I know Harvey beat 2 of the 112's listed and he wasn't on the list. No big deal. The boys don't seem to care to have the publicity anyway.

Know this...I have listened to the same crap on this site for years about A vs AA......if it makes you all feel "bigger or better" to continually implicate that AA makes you a better wrestler/person then go ahead and keep blowing up your own ego(truth be known those who attempt to slander the A class are probably jv - hide behind the big star wrestlers in AA or possible nobodys themselves)...Just note this......kids don't generally make the decision as they grow up where they live or what schools they attend so be it as it may you fall where you fall in whatever county, district, state school your parents decide to settle in.....I'll give you there is "stouter competition" in AA the majority of the time....but it doesn't make you a better person/wrestler.....most of these kids in A & AA come out of the feeder programs of either IESA or IKWF....so at one time or another....if you were good enough....you highly decorated AA wrestlers at one time or another probably had the chance to put the little A kids on their backs.....if you could....so quit blowing your own horn and taking away from the fact at hand.....the "Nifty Fifty" includes WRESTLERS NAMES....not according to their schools who have shed just as much blood, sweat and tears as you all have and deserve their recognition accordingly......and to this day.....I'd take any Clayton Rush or Tyler Clark over all you AA.boys...seems the single A guys are more humble and just take care of their business in front of them insteading of trying to pat their own backs on this web site........

Thank you sweetie! for the insightful information....I was a pin pal for Unity HS in Tolono (class A) - still live there as a matter of fact. I teach at Mahomet-Seymour Jr High - love wrestling - any class (my kids will likely wrestle at (single A) Unity) - I also prefer IESA to IKWF for the structure it offers. I didn't blow anyone's horn.
FYI - as far as I know Mahomet-Seymour wrestlers do not normally post on this site and I have never heard any of them talk down class A.

You're not going to get that from me. I won't argue A/aa issues. I have argued the IESA / IKWF thing before...try to stay out of it now because it makes me mad.

"Just note this......kids don't generally make the decision as they grow up where they live or what schools they attend so be it as it may you fall where you fall in whatever county, district, state school your parents decide to settle in....."

The geography issue is something I have used in my defense of IESA.;)

Settle down pinmode...it seems that the only fight here is one you created. I'm not even going to try to debate the A-AA thing. Keep in mind that many of the posters on this site are kids themselves. You seem to be stooping to their level here. I think that the differences are obvious as are the tough kids in both classes. Yes, AA wrestling is much deeper with many more tough kids than A. Yes, there are class A kids who can step right on up with the AA big dogs. It is a numbers game. With 75% (estimate) of all Illinois wrestlers AA, there will be 75% of the tough kids in AA. So what? Don't make it more than it is.

Well said. There's no such thing as A-AA at Fargo, or any other National for that matter.

Exactly why FS and GR state is fun to watch as a fan too. Yes the kids are split up by age(Cadet-Junior) but there is no A or AA divisions. Nothing better then watching a tough class A kid grapple with a tough AA kid.

Class A or AA the cream always finds away to rise to the top...;)

I agree exactly on the A & AA thing....just tired of the verbal what seems to be slamming of the little guys that come from time to time.....but don't "settle" me down.....that this "fight" was something "I" created.....I did not start this post, therefore I did not create it......I only responded to it.......remember....this board is for opinions....I have one and I only exerted it toward the previous poster.....not you Mr. Esterhouse....

Its all good, Pin-mode. I didn't mean for my post to be interpretted the way you did, but I do understand why you responded as you did.

I believe you misinterpreted dogfan's post. Dog was simply stating that in an effort to include kids from both classes, some of the better kids were left off the list. This is true, to my knowledge, and not a slam at class A. I'm not sure exactly how you took it to make such a dramatic post. At least, that's how I and evidently other posters saw it.
