Who has the most qualifiers for sectional?

Lake Zurich North 24
Bloomington 26
Mahomet 25
DeKalb Clinton Rosette 21?

Are these teams good or did they just have easy regionals? Any other teams put up good numbers?

It is the mark of a strong team schedule when your regional tournament is your easiest tournament of the year. I don't know much about Lake Zurich, but for the other three it's not so much that their regionals are easy, but they seem easier than to their regular season tournaments. Their success at regionals comes about because these teams seek out tough challenges all year long. Like anything else in life, wrestlers rise to the level of their coaches' expectations.

Some schools have larger number of kids at regional. Wait till sectional is over.

Mahomet had a really easy regional it was mahomet,monitcello,kankakee,champaign edison,hersher limestone,praire central,and clifton nash

Mahomet's regional did seem pretty easy but they are still going to take the state title. Too many horses not to!

First place should be

And Briggs should place pretty high also and some others will grab a win or two!

They took third last year and only had one state champ. So four should definately put them over the top!!!

Mt. Zion has more good kids than Mahomet. I think they will be the team to beat. They only have 8-12 regional qualifiers.

Mt. Zion is tough but Mahomet's 100 and 119 beat Mt. Zion's 100 and 119 already this year in a dual so that gives Mahomet an edge! Mt. Zion could very well take 85 and 112 though and 95 placing high!

What happened to MtZion's 185? He's not posting anymore. He should do well. Who is the 112? And Drum...still smiling, right? I hope to see many of you at state MTZ...how many more days...8?
Of course I have to say that MtZion does have a lot of good wrestlers, but Mahomet has more great wrestlers. I'm way biased, that is obvious.

wow.. DeKalb split schools and still had 21?!?! can you imagine if both schools were still together? I bet they would have been unstopable
