I think briggs was winning 8-6 when he tried to cradle him or something and pinned himsefl.

He got stuck in his own move a cradle. he didnt stick himself and if thats what people are saying he did... no excuses darle pinned him

1. He's what? 14? Don't 14-year-olds make mistakes?

2. Other than you, who said "he is supose to be so awesome?"

3. As it turns out, Dale Barry now feeds into Julian Brooks, a returning state champ, in the quarters, while Briggs would only see him in a medal match. Not so bad an outcome for his mistake.

ya 14 year olds make mistakes i know that but everyone talks about how good briggs is and he didnt impress me at all... + its all about he luck of the draw briggs is lucky he isnt in darles place right now

Briggs was doing a move (sort of a cradle - not complete) that put him in a position to stick himself. The other kid did an awesome job of countering it and they were both on their backs. Not to take away from Barry, but Briggs did not wrestle his best, so if your unimpressed by that match, I don't blame you. He makes mistakes and actually doesn't wrestle well after getting hit in the head (happened at Reed-Custer tourney, too). It was a good match and I hope they both do well at state.
