A possible fantasy wrestling league on the forums

A fantasy team is made during the state series so I was wondering if anyone had any interest in doing it throughout the whole season? There would be a draft sometime early next week hopefully. With there being 14 spots to fill (one per weight class). Each week a lineup would be set to compete the entire week. If anyone is interested post here and the whole point system and what not will be figured out once there is enough people interested

ok so there are now 2 in the league. i was looking to get up to 10 people per league and creating more leagues if necessary

will we have bench players...trades...what if a kid gets hurt? are there any online programs we could use/modify? are we going to use the honor system for scoring? how will the scoring work?

it will be aaa only. there will be bench players. im thinking 5 is a good number. and i do not know of any online programs but that would be a good idea. the scoring system im thinking of using is

1.5 t-fall
1 major
.5 win
5 1st in tourny
4 2nd
3 3rd
2 4th
1 5th
10 beating #1 ranked wrestler
9 beating #2
...
1 beating #10
.5 beating HM or ranking above 10

your opponent will keep your score and if there is a disagreement then i will look at it (assuming you would keep your own score as well for a check)
the week will consist of thursday-wednesday so each week starts on a thursday and will end the following wednesday

thanks for clearing that up...i think this will be fun...will we have any awards/incentive to keep playing all season? you know what would be cool...if we chose a few weeks out of the season randomly and that week whoever loses has to give some wrestling apparel from their school(assuming everyone is close to a team/club) to the winning team. or maybe everyone could put in a t shirt at the beginning and the winner takes all. that would keep me interested if i thought i was getting 9 wrestling t shirts if i won...JUST A THOUGHT

i did not have any intentions of incentives i just hope that everyone plays the whole season and if not they will be replaced.

the teams that dont post results will make things diffucult. all i can say is try and draft players on teams that do. and the draft will work like a snake

I would like in the fantasy draft is it too late or can you add more teams. More teams make it more fun should be 14 teams to a leauge 14 weight classes that way if 14 number onese could be divided equally

I'm NOT interested in joining the league, but the idea fascinates me. During the season, can you give updates to the Illinois Matmen Forum now and again about how your fantasy league is going? I'd be interested to hear the progress.

that will be the draft order. the draft will be on wednesday (the day rankings come out) at 8pm. it will be a snake draft so the first pick in the first round gets the last pick in the 2nd round.

and updates will be kept on the forums for any observers interested
