is Tony Ramos the best wrestler in GBN history? If he wins Ironman and goes undefeated he will graduate with a double? overtime loss as a freshman and a loss at Ironman last year to Marti. 3x champ and a runner up. If he's not the best who is? Curious to hear opinions

If he wins this year he will be the best ever at GBN.

He lost to Mike McAulliffe at team state his freshman year at 112 and to Josh Chappa(Wisconsin state champ from Wisconsin Rapids) at 119 his sophomore year.

yes Tony is the best statistically... who is the best GBN wrestler 1 on 1 facing anyone at anytime ... probably a bigger guy but who would that be?

At Conant it is Jimmy Kassner @215 although there is alot of people who would argue the point...

savanagos (sp?) were pretty tough for bigger guys.

Is it best wrestler or who would win a street fight?

I'd like the input from all schools at any period of time... I heard about the GBN kid before think his weight was under 200 lbs... biggest isnt always best but lets keep the comparisons on the mat and only in folkstyle wrestling format...

I wonder if there is a consensus from the historians who know this sport best ... simply the best because he could beat anyone anyplace in his highschool time....

Ramos is about as tough as they come. I don't know a whole lot about GBN's program's history, but I believe we won't see him lose this year

It would have to be Tony Ramos...He's accomplished so much in his career, and it looks like he'll actually do something in college unlike Gomez.

What was the score the of the Marti-Ramos match? Why did Ramos not wrestle the rest of the tourny after that match?

Marti won 8-4. Ramos defaulted out after that match. I'm not sure what the injury was.

If Ramoes went to Montini we wouldn't be talking about losses we would be talking about IL first 4x undefeated wrestler but have to give him credit he has accomplished a lot with a little :D just kidding GBN fans!!

Tony Ramos is GBN's version of Tannenbaum he will do great things in college and only become much better with the stacked lightweight room at Iowa.

Not here to defend my brother, but honestly you can not argue the fact... Tony will be GBN's best ever if he finishes the year the way i know he can... If all goes to plan he will be the closest you can be to a 4x state champion... not taking anything at all away from Gomez, great wrestler, great accomplishments but joe finished 1, 3, 2, 1... and like i said if all goes to plan tony will be a 4x finalist... 3x champion... just the only thing that hurts him in his win column is the fact that our team didn't make the state finals and wrestle every year like joes did... but tony will be right behind joe in career wins... already holds the career takedowns and season takedowns record at GBN... but lets not count our chickens before they hatch... lets wait to discuss this till after season...:D

Are you going to transfer to Iowa to be with your brother? If you had to wrestle your brother in the Big Ten tournament tomorrow who would win?

Two tough questions but I know I am not the only one thinking about it.

I don't think that game would work well with the Sanderson family. For some reason I think little brother-Cael would beat up on older brother-Cody.

Thanks for answering my questions. best of luck to you at Indiana and your college career. You have always been a class act! THANKS!

The question was who was the best ever at GBN and it has nothing to do with what they did in college. You still don't know how Tony is going to do in college and both Gomez and Tony put up good cases for who is the best ever at GBN.

bubbaandsonnyboy

i told you what he did, went for free and graduated. no AA, no starting, just practice, a few matches and a degree from a good academic institution
