It was truly a team effort by Bloomington. They scored 80 points on Friday evening alone! The champ and placers carried the team to victory, but getting so many wins and so many pins up and down the line-up is what gave them a 50 point margin of victory.

Nice job Bloomington. However, I would have like to have seen DeKalb stay together one more year and repeat.

At what cost? Half as many varsity matches during the regular season, half as many kids enrolled in regionals and sectionals. If your son would have been knocked down to JV would you still rather keep the team together?

They did a smart thing. A parent would rather see there kid on the mat then off on a bench. A lot of good kids got to wrestle. At what cost?
