http://illinoismatmen.com/images/sandwich.gifSandwich High School recently named Steve Skorup the new head wrestling coach. Skorup has been a volunteer assistant coach at Sandwich for the past three seasons. During that time span, Sandwich won two I-8 conference championships, three regional championships, and placed 3rd in the state twice. Before joining Sandwich, Skorup spent five seasons as the Waubonsie Valley High School head wrestling coach, where he had an overall record of 55-61, won an Upstate 8 conference championship, won a regional championship, and produced 7 state qualifiers and 5 state place winners.
Sandwich is still looking for a high school assistant coach as well as middle school head and assistant coaches. If you are interested, please contact Steve Skorup at steve_skorup@ipsd.org
