after this weekends duals and tourneys, 160 really looks different. hammonds dominated both ambrosino and dieppa. ambrosino also lost to dieppa 1-0. in the CCL obie simpson jumper up to 160 and one the CCL championship, as his teammate Cascone dropped down to 152. finally, tokarski winning the SPC tourney in a close match.
anyone feel like predicting the placers at state?

160 is the most wide open weight in the state. Hammons definitely did NOT dominate Dieppa...other than the last 30 seconds of the match. It was 4-3 Dieppa well into the third period. He took Hammons down with a beautiful high crotch about 1/2 way thru the first period. It was obvious Hammons was a little bewildered by Dieppa's style and he looked dog tired at the end. Ambrosino did not look good in either match...didn't move well at all and I think he'd be the first to say that.
Didn't see Tokarski/Schroeder match at SPC finals but result was a little surprising, only 3-2 Tokarski. Schroeder took seventh at Dvorak didn't he? Quite a showing!
Don't know for sure but I'd guess Simpson will be back at 152 with Cascone at 160 for the state series. Seemed to be strictly a switch for team points at the tournament.
Huebner beat Carlson a couple weeks ago, Holley has dominated since Dvorak, Burk continues to win big, and Marella is going for the school record in wins.....Stay tuned to this weight class for the next few weeks!

Your top 10 at 160 isn't bad but you've got to remember a couple things...
Hammons had trouble with Dieppa, Carlson only lost 3-2 to Ambrosino and 9-8 to Huebner, Holley beat Dieppa 10-6, Dieppa beat Marella 3-1 in OT, Tokarski won a 3-2 squeaker over Schroeder who Holley beat at Dvorak 11-1 or so, and Burk hasn't wrestled any of them yet.
I think the names are right but who knows what the order will be at state! This may well be the most competitive weight class there even though there aren't any National Champs involved.

Didn't he just lose to Barczak from Grant? Was that at 152 or 160?

Holley beat Schroeder 11-1 at Dvorak the round following Schroeder beating Harmon 13-3.
Barczak just beat Compton 5-2 according to Illinois Best Weekly. Barczak came up from 152, Compton down from 171.
I'll say it again, 160 is a wide open weight class for state.
