I just wanted to start off by saying that I thought what Sterling Newman did for coach Montgomery from Rock Falls was a class act. Montgomery started his coaching career at Newman, and with this being his last year, had his last regular season dual with Sterling Newman. Newman gave him a rather large framed singlet from the 80's with a 85 team warmup jacket from the team Montgomery coached to a state title that year. Coach Montgomery, you are a class act yourself, and I, along with many others wish you the best of luck in the future.
