I know that Mahomet and Sjo are the two power houses currently in central illinois but who will give these teams a run on their schedules.
Sjo i believe still has porta and vandalia on their schedule.

If we are talking about the Central Sectional (AA), Minooka will be the team to beat -- 6 returning state qualifiers and two 4th place finishers.

Minooka has an extremely tough team this upcoming, many tough seniors and some great up and coming sophomores. Hopefully they can get a good draw in the state dual series and earn a medal for the central section. Mahomet is balanced as always; don’t see any gaps next year in their line-up. Ottawa has been developing a strong program also. SJO has a very talented line-up currently, but like most single A programs, there is the question of being able to reload. Clinton and Olympia has run into this problem after having super teams in the past, but I see SJO earning a team medal next year. I would guess Bloomington will have 1-2 freshman, around 10 sophomores, 2-3 juniors, and 1-2 seniors in their varsity line-up, but probably will still win their regional.

Sjo has 12 out of the 14 returning and only lost one state qualifier
