Body Bar Invitational at Cornell University
3 former Illinois wrestlers competed. There was no Frosh/Soph division. All wrestlers competed in the same brackets per weight class.
Eric Tannenbaum 165 (R-Jr Michigan): 3-0 1st place
Nate Holley 174 (Fr - Cornell): 1-2
Kyle Hutter 125 (Fr - Old Dominion): 0-2
Matt Collum 149/157 (Old Dominion): Did not attend
Cornell, who were missing starters at 125, 133, and 184, won the tournament by 1 point (115 to 114) over Michigan. Match of the night was 141 finals match with Cornell's Jordan Leen winning a very physical defensive battle vs Ryan Churella of Michigan 3-2.
Heard that ODU's starting 5th year senior at 125 has left the team which pulls Hutter off any thoughts of a redshirt year. Tannenbaum looked great as usual but had a very tough finals match vs Cornell's Anceravage. Eric actually looked a little undersized at 165.
