Anyone anticipating some surprises with weights come Regional Time??

Letton (215 or 275)
Cotton (130 or 135)
Downey (160 or 152)

I'm gonna predict Downey(OTW) goes 152. I think he's the only one who could make 152.... If not, between him, Valentine(MOR), Kimberlin(B-MAC) and Bannon(MIN) a quality kid will be staying home for sectionals.

My understanding is that Cotton has used the growth allowance at 135, and has not made 130 scratch this year, which makes him ineligible to go 130!!! That is my understanding of the situation, unless someone else can shed some light on the topic!!!

Brewer from M/S also has a good shot making it down to state. But my pick to win it is Valentine. Downey will hopefully go 152 becasue i would like to see him make it down also.

i believe that as long as he hasn't used to growth allow. at 130, he can still go to that weight.

Even if he used the growth allowance as long as he makes scratch weight at the regional he can wrestle it. I haven't heard about him using the growth allowance for 135.

He has indeed used the growth allowance at 135 which will make him ineligible for 130, unless he made 130 scratch prior to using any growth allowance. If he made 130 scratch prior to using the growth allowance he will still be fine to go 130, but he has indeed used the growth allowance at 135!!!

Nit-picking, but Brewer won't be going "down-state" --it is across (east)for him. Sectionals should be interesting -- Can't wait to see the results.

More nit-picking, why do we have to beat to death the Cotton thing? In about 55 hours, we will know what weight he is at for state series.:p

i agree with you m-sdog why is it such a big deal everyone should already know where they are going to wrestle so why ask where he is going. he is not going to win state at either weight.

Thank you and hopefully we'll be in M-S for sectionals:) I believe the last time I was there, was for an IWF sectional tournamnet. Funny how things come full circle.
