Dvorak

It is a shame that so many of the top Illinois teams no longer attend Dvorak.
At the same time, this tournament continues to be extremely tough combining the Illinois teams that will be there and the 10 out of state teams attending.

I agree on both parts - it is a shame - but for the most part, it comes down to scheduling. I've talked to a good number of coaches of competitive teams that always keep an eye out for the Dvorak schedule, but if it matches up with final exams for their school, they know that Dvorak is a no-go, and they go elsewhere - often the Clash, Cheesehead, etc.

If Dvorak happened during break - say, after Christmas but before New Year, rather than right around when finals are taking place, I think a lot more of Illinois top teams would come - as well as even more from out-of-state as well.

I believe only having weights up to 160 probably hurt the numbers too.

Thanks for noticing that. Must have been a result of his making the finals of Ironman.

Kendall has better body of work. Hence the ranking. But Izzy and his guys have extensive game plans for EVERY major in state opponent.

I was just sitting here reading Mont/Marm box saying "Stiles is dangerous!"

They'll hit again at Cheesehead and Sectionals. I'm not sure 1-0 is going to get it done. I don't think KC will choose bottom again (at least he better not, don't let pride interfere with winning.) He can master that art later in college. And 3 periods of Kendall Coleman on his feet is murder.

Regarding state finals.... don't let Patrick Ryan hide at New Trier and sneak up on ya!
