The somnolent Illinois wrestling web page just stirred a bit and contains a a few new items. Here's the link.

Of interest (to me, at least) are:
*Coach Johnson signed a four-year extension to his contract.
*Cassio Pero has a blog entry
*2006-07 Roster is posted. I'm guessing this is a work in progress as no true freshman are included and Mike Poeta's weight is listed as 149, which is two years old (his weights was listed as 149 last year even though he wrestled 165).
*The 2006-07 Illinois schedule is posted. Is it me, or is this a light schedule in terms of number of entries (compared with other Div I schools)? This might also be not-quite-complete.
Before 2005-06 the Illinois web page was very good. Last year it was pathetic, terrible, not-kept-up; frankly, it was close to useless. I hope it is better this year.
