Don't watch it, it might make Dan feel bad. Dan said, it made him a better wrestler. Dan did fine in life, and built the best wrestling program in the USA. Eddie you have a lot to look forward too!!!

    No Disrespect

If you actually go on youtube you will see 10+ videos of the Drendal Boys in action over lesser known opponents. The Drendal family is very wide spread so I think the worldwide web is a great place to show their family the matches.
By the way if you think Nick's throw was legit, maybe take a couple minutes and view the videos of his brother Jonathan. That dude is a freaking man-child with his greco. He actually catches people all the time, He caught Olympian Deishler(sp) 4 times in a match.

If we are being disrespectful, you have to call out the 5,500+that have watched the video alone on Youtube in less then 5 days.

Everybody loves the underdog except the favorite,,,oh yeah when a #1 from any class, ok maybe not 1A, or a Montini kid losses at the hall in 3 days and the crowd goes nuts, go around and tell them that they are being desrespectful.

Remember Mr. Drendal is not the one who brought this match to the attention of the Illinois wrestling community, it was Nick and Eddie

Besides that, let's start giving brackets out to all the wrestlers who make state, and better yet, let's get small trophies for all the kids who make sectionals from now on. And let's not forget the medals, we should give medals to every kid who comes out for wrestling at the beginning of the season. Just more of the sissification of athletics and society.

Take the purses off. We are developing young men, young warriors who are molded and carved by the adversity and trials that they face in life. So Klimara got pinned at sectionals, so what. It's a loss that every high profile wrestler will face and probably have shown on flowrestling or you tube or on Illinois matmen. It is a good trial that i'm sure Klimara will use to fuel him to the state championship this weekend. And if and when he does win state, either this year or in the next three, do you think he will care if there is a video of one of his losses to go next to the fifty videos of his destruction of another young wrestler who came across his path.......NO. He will probably laugh and be thankful for the loss that propelled him on to greater things in his career. We learn more from the losses than the wins. Should we take down all the videos of him taking apart other wrestlers........NO.

Cut the cord, he'll be fine, actually I'm sure he'll be more than fine after Saturday.

Great job Nicholas, how would you feel if you were the one getting pinned? And not to mention but why does Illinoismatmen.com have it on the home page?

Who cares about the Youtube posting? He didn't catch him, he turned him twice in the second period. If Eddie Kilmara makes it through the first day, he willwin the state championship. It is a big wrestling story for the sectional weekend.

This shows the depth of our state. So what if it was luck it took alot of skill and hard work to pull off that upset. Not only his parents but everyone should be proud of Drendel, Kilmara will be positivly motivated by it.

I know other people that do this with their kids matches so that relatives that live out of state can still see them compete. I do not think there was any Rubbing it in your face type attitude. It was just a way for the Drendals to communicate with their other son that is 6+ hours away.
Not so much of drendels family disrespecting Klimara but more of how Illinoismatmen.com putting it on the HOME page. You dont see Bellis getting pinned on the home page when im sure that was taped. Or you dont see any other upsets, or good kids being lazy and getting "caught" and i say caught because i dont think it would ever happen again.

I agree! I guess it is easy to post clips on all types of media sites but I feel we need to look at why we are posting these matches and who they are hurting!

I think it actually shows more respect to Eddie than not, he is the #1 and he will have people gunning for him. He is a BEAST but sometimes you get beat I do not think it is disrespectful to have the video out there, it is exciting to all that ANYONE can get beat! It makes wrestling great!

We tell our wrestlers all the time if you stay in a match you will get 1 shot to beat anybody... so what a good video to show that truth!

yea drendle beat him, but it was luck, i dont see drendle placin in the tob 5 in state. he got real lucky klimara wasnt paying much attention to what drenle was capable of. if they ever meet again i can asure u that klimara will beat him by 5 or 6 points. he just needs to wrestle more carefully against him next time. but i do give him credit on doing the rite move at the rite time. good job kid.
