We are about to get started. I will attempt to highlight some of the action, as I can keep track. I may be a little distracted to start. But I will jump in and bring you some of the action as I see it as it occurs.....

The first round is under way. Class AAA is on all 6 mats, so it is hard following the action. 103 is finishing up, and 112 is on the mat. I missed most of 103 watching Nicholas (Drendel), who wrestled like he is a Greco guy (which he is not). Eddie Greco (who is a Greco guy, but not in style)kept pace, and the score was 8-8 with 55 seconds left. The West Aurora coach had Nicholas cut Greco, and Nicholsd got i on the legs, but Greco was ablke to hold him off with time expiring. 9-8 Greco.

What a great wrestling name - Greco. He had no choice but to wrestle.

Vince Gottardo (Conant) acquitted himself well against Matt Cavalaris. the score was 8-7 with about 30 seconds left and was hit with stalling (first warning). Cavallaris let him up and was able to get the takedown to win it with 8 seconds left 10-8.

Intersting note (for me anyway) - some coaches minimize Greco as it rerlates to folkstyle success. Mike Avelar (Bro. Rice), a Greco guy, hit a beautiful under arm spin against Greg jackson (Edwardsville) for a takedown. With the score 3-1 and 40 sedconds left in the match, Avelar hip tossed Jackson in an over/under position and got the fall at 31 seconds left.

If it wasn't for Greco I would have never won a match I was a small guy who could throw!!
