I have already stated that Whitford is my pick so if I was bias would I insist that Akui is the most dominant?
You brought out the race card? The race card? you don't even know me! you know nothing about me! What the **** are you thinking? The race card. You are dumber than I ever gave you credit for. Do you even know my race?

My opinion on your bias is that you have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with JA. You seem to know him well. You obviously have his contact info in your phone if you were to get him for an interview. And his moms info too! Thats all! You have talked about him on these boards for years!

This is BS. I never took you for a race card guy...but you have outed yourself! WOW!

The best wrestler in the state, based on pure talent and ability is Ben Whitford; the most dominant wrestler in the state this year? Austin Marsden, 215lbs from Crystal Lake Central, hands down. His performance at tournaments like Conant, Dvorak, and the AA championship were near flawless and I don't think too many wrestlers went the distance vs Marsden this year.

No I am just saying that is really the only thing that we have in common...for me to even attempt to have a bias for Akui...I am not saying anything about you...I am saying in a nutshell I have no reason to be bias for Akui other than I think he should be included in the discussion...now had you not said I was bias then I would not of tried to find out why you thought I might be bias...I guess by your reaction then that is another reason you don't think I am bias...so tell me why did you say I was bias towards Akui being one of the most dominant wrestlers in Illinois this year...just tell me because I am curious...

Whitford...I can understand the argument for mardsen but you also have to look at age, he is a senior and ben is only a sophomore literally tearing kids up. pierce did not even want to continue in the match yesterday because of the pounding he recieved, not to mention the destruction of gosinski at dvorak. definitely the most dominate in the state.

I have a lot of wrestlers phone numbers. I know a lot of their mothers. I have a personal relationship with a lot of wrestlers. Many that won last night and even more that lost the day before. So if that constitutes a bias then yes I am guilty. In my business of doing the tough interviews I need to be able to contact wrestlers, coaches, AD's, parents, etc. All reporters keep a data base of numbers. And even with all that said both Pat Disabato (Southtown) and the Tribune both had their interviews and stories up before I even knew what happened. I was busy in other parts of my life other than wrestling. So I found out late. You probably knew before I did. I am gonna have to get on Akui and tell him to use that bias we got and give me the scoops on his life. I think I will ask his Mom if I can come to the expulsion hearing...come on man...

Most dominant has nothing to do with age or weight class. Being "most dominant" means just that; dominating all your competition all season long. Whitford is clearly, IMO the best wrestler in the state...quick, powerful, technically sound. Most dominant? Nope. Marsden pretty much demolished everyone. Whitford actually had one loss this year.

PS Twist can we get this thread back on topic?

From my computer chair I never did watch Whitford. I know how good he is, and just didn't pull up his match on my screen. I will concede he is one of the most dominate.

For me best match was a tie between freshman Snow of Newman at 112 over Lyons, class 'A'. He rode him out the entire second period, and then the double overtime period. Next best match was 171 AAA. Congenie wrestled a great match, and handled Brooks way easier that Jawan did at sectionals. Would be my MVP if given.

Most dominate to me looked like Kielbasa, he is as strong as they come.

Alright, you 2 need to stop talking about this. Akui was one of the most dominant in the state during the year. So was Max Schneider. Both didn't wrestle at state for completely different reasons. To deny that Akui wasnt one of the most dominant this year is ignorant, and to keep arguing about this and start showing less and less class by arguing like a bunch of kids is stupid. How about you 2 agree to disagree and start showing support instead of tearing people down.

Twist isn't bias towards Akui for any reason, because Akui was and is still one of the best wrestlers and overall athletes in the state in any class.

Whitford in the finals reminded me a little bit of Metcalf. Once he didn't think he could pin his opponent, he was out there to dominate and punish him. He wanted his opponent to leave the mat saying, I never want to wrestle him again!!!

Oh you got it all wrong. There is no reason to agree to disagree because I don't disagree with his opinion. Instead I respect his American right to think what he wants. I am just making my case that the original poster did not put limits or criteria on who was the most dominant. I think that it realistically could be Akui or Max to be honest. I have already said my choice of Whitford as the most dominant. But going to state has nothing to do with being the most dominant as defined in the original post.

As far as being a kid I leave that to the kids although you need to know that adults are just grown up kids. I guess you have to be an adult to look back on the past as that is easier than looking into the future. See intellegent people discuss, ignorant people argue. This is a Discussion Forum as stated at the top.

Some are hot, most are nice, some don't know much about wrestling and others know more than the Dad's. All things even I would rather talk to the Mom's.

Well put, it just seemed like you guys were gonna start throwing e-Punches, haha. And I agree, there should have been more clarification and I wasn't necessarily commenting on your post alone Twist, it was just the last one in the discussion that was happening.

And I would be all three of the above.

                                Seriously, back on topic boys.
