Thats great, but all I heard for the last year is how Marist was going to win state not go 5-1 at the Clash or take 2nd at the Dvorak. How about a regional title for Mount Carmel? Thats something that Marist couldn't do. Congrats on being a great regular season team and not performing when it counts, you guys and Peyton Manning have a lot in common. Give me Marist vs the field next year to win state, I'll take the field.

I guess 8 qualifiers and 6 placers at state isn't performing when it counts. Maybe I have been viewing success in wrestling the wrong way. By the way Payton Manning has a Super Bowl ring so nice comparison. Maybe Dan Marino would work better. I will take Marist talk to you in February of 2013.

You are not mistaken, but Peyton Manning is regarded as the greatest regular season quarterback of all time his numbers drop off a lot during the postseason. My whole point is all I have been hearing the last 2 seasons is how Marist is going to win state and they havn't even made it down state. Win state and brag all you want, but until then let the kids wrestle and earn it instead of crowning them "paper champs" in April.

All I have done is give facts in my responses and you keep coming up with ways to make them sound insignificant. Apparently no posters can come on the boards and talk about their team and who they think will win state. Almost every team is guilty of that at some point in the season. That's what the boards are for. You seem to have a personal vendetta against Marist. Why not attack any poster who talks about their team and predicts future success. I just assume that the CCL has become so uninteresting and uncompetitive that you try to bring everyone else down in order to feel relevant. Now you’re going as far to make up titles for Payton Manning. I'm pretty sure they usually refer to him as one of the greatest QB's of all time, not just "regular season". You really struggle. This will be my last post for a while since again it is only April and the season is 7 months away. This thread was started to see what weights kids will go next year, a Marist supporter came on and hijacked it by saying that they will have at least 8 placers. I along with others responded saying that is probably not going to happen. I am not bashing anyone I am just saying I dont see the point in hyping your team up in April when everyone already knows what they have and what they are capable of. The CCL will be very interesting Mount Carmel and St. Rita will wrestle at Northwestern right before the finals of the Midlands tournament, they will have a great individual tournament like they always do and it would not suprise me one bit if Mount Carmel or St. Rita made it to team state, maybe bring home a trophy if the matchups are right. As far as Mr. Manning I believe he is One of the greatest of all time regardless of regular or postseason, but he has been referred to by many as The greatest regular season QB of all time his 4 MVPs would back that up.

As an it's a small world sidenote, my sister lived in Vacaville, CA when my bro-in-law was stationed at Travis AFB! There aren't that many cows. Vaca in Spanish=cow in English.

I have to disagree with you here CCL. It looks like he has been pretty steady during the playoffs. Don't know if he is responsible to play defense and run the ball, which were the reasons why they lost.

I was at sectionals and I saw Benoit get cradled by Thurman. Never said he was overmatched and wasnt trying to make it sound like that, but I was trying to make the point that he didnt get "caught" it wasnt a fluke. I've watched Thurman wrestle before he is very good and very strong. Benoit is good on his feet, but wrestling on bottom is a part of wrestling. Shamrockalocka said that Benoit got caught and that simply wasnt true. To me thats saying that he is better than Thurman and would have beat him if he didn't get cradled. Give Thurman some credit instead of making excuses for your wrestler. I dont need to put together any projected lineups or make any predictions. I will say this that I believe both Mount Carmel and St. Rita will probably have as many if not more individual champs than Marist. Mount Carmel will have 1 or 2 St. Rita will have 1 or 2. That won't matter though when Marist is winning state (their first since 1987, 25 years) beating every team by 50 points and acheiving a ranking of #1 in the country, of course they would have to make it to state first, something they havn't done since 1997 and to do that they would have to win their regional, something Mount Carmel did last year, and the year before that, and the year before that....

IMO, I wasn't shocked at the outcome of that match and give Thurman credit for the win. Thurman is very strong, quick, and extremely athletic.
