Edmond (138) lost to Howard Beatty of Waubonsie Valley 9-8. Beatty also took 1st at Stagg and defeated HM Nagel 8-4. Curious how he isn't ranked. Waubonsie's Anthony Touchstone also beat Freedlund of MV, and was a former IKWF state champ. Can Waubonsie get some respect on here?

Does anyone know why Harlem's Hecox (195) didn't wrestle at the Whitlatch tournament?

Milan Patel (Bolingbrook) beat Jared Sims (Joliet West) 7-4 and Christian Robertson (Sandburg) 6-4. Also Elijah Bavarro (Bolingbrook) beat Brian Krasowski (Sandburg) not sure about the score on that one.

Why did Anthony Bosco at 106 drop from #1 to HM

He's not the current starter for Marmion.

I know ranking a zillion wrestlers can be a daunting process but Libertyville's Joey Gunther was #6 last ranking behind Mikenis, who he beat 5-2. Since then he lost one match to Sapinsley 1-0, two weight classes up (152) and he drops 4 places to #10! He's lost three times to guys at least one (and once two) weight classes above him. The wrestlers he lost to are no creampuffs either (Wiseman, Weber and Sapinsley). Sounds like some kind of Communist conspiracy!

so when he is the starter, he is #1...but the new starter is only #9?

Maybe he thinks he made a mistake with his original assesment. That's why rankings change.

                        really,
Just so I have this straight, the wrestler who took 3rd place last year at this weight, who was ranked #1 to start the season, lost to no one in this state while winning Barrington and placing 8th at Ironman has dropped to HM....while he's beat numerous kids now ranked ahead of him. But hey, add on he's a jumior and numerous freshman are now ranked ahead of him.

you're right- there is a mistake.

but hey, unlike the bcs, this will sort itself out come march

                          Rankings

I believe the wrestler you are referring to is not the current starter. That is the reason he isn't ranked. I would think.
