We have it pretty good so far in Illinois from any effect. I will be dead before it really effects Illinois badly - although we will end up paying for coasts..., but its obvious something is up.

People are getting riled up about people getting riled up. - The number of alarmists is the same as the number of deniers. It is a curve with most people in the middle. As for you link, it was amusing back in 2010...did not stand the test of time. The BS of that is well documented, made it to congress went nowhere.

You must love making the middle east, Russia, and Venezuela richer rather than putting up a few wind turbines. Its like the people who complained about changing from the old light bulbs - so painful, we can hardly see now, and as the Pres said they make him look orange.

"Montford's entertaining conspiracy yarn" presented arguments based on "glaring inaccuracies".[12] In Geoscientist, Ward said Montford's "incredible yarn is based on a misleading and one-sided version of events, littered with inaccuracies".[13]

There is a political ad with Trump calling climate change a hoax. Never knew so many hoax's existed, good thing he is knows more than anyone on earth "in history" - which he commonly states. he would be annoying at the bowling alley, none the less President. They are playing that ad because most people think otherwise. There are lots of people who aren't into doing much about it, but calling it a hoax puts you on an Island with less than 10% of the population. He has since changed his stance, but the video still works.

2. There has always been a debate about whether climate change is man-made or just part of evolution. The word “hoax” suggests that it is merely smoke and mirrors. All things being equal, meaning whether or not humans have something to do with it is 50-50, Do you believe we should err to the side of caution, Or just go ahead and do whatever we want on the planet? Peace, op

The tax dollars spent on promoting the hoax that humans cause climate change is over 20 times the amount that your article is whining about. If a scientist wants a job, he has to go where the money is.

the 97% talking point is 100% BS

"Surely the most suspicious “97 percent” study was conducted in 2013 by australian scientist john cook — author of the 2011 book climate change denial: Heads in the sand and creator of the blog skeptical science (subtitle: “getting skeptical about global warming skepticism.”). In an analysis of 12,000 abstracts, he found “a 97% consensus among papers taking a position on the cause of global warming in the peer-reviewed literature that humans are responsible.” “among papers taking a position” is a significant qualifier: Only 34 percent of the papers cook examined expressed any opinion about anthropogenic climate change at all. Since 33 percent appeared to endorse anthropogenic climate change, he divided 33 by 34 and — voilà — 97 percent! When david legates, a university of delaware professor who formerly headed the university’s center for climatic research, recreated cook’s study, he found that “only 41 papers — 0.3 percent of all 11,944 abstracts or 1.0 percent of the 4,014 expressing an opinion, and not 97.1 percent,” endorsed what cook claimed. Several scientists whose papers were included in cook’s initial sample also protested that they had been misinterpreted. “significant questions about anthropogenic influences on climate remain,” legates concluded."

The United States has now become the number one producer of gas and oil. We are no longer dependent on foreign oil. We now export oil and gas. The light bulbs should be a choice...mandating them makes them nothing more than a tax increase that serve the purpose of creating more government.

Trump has not changed his opinion about Global warming. If I were to say that global warming is a hoax, it would be an inaccurate statement...Global warming and global cooling happened all throughout the history of the earth. If I were to say that man made global warming is a hoax...that would be the opinion of about half of the country.

There is an ad out now with him saying climate change is hoax. He was asked at a news conference a month ago if he still believes that and he would not say yes. Both statements came out of the Tangerine Mossolini's face, that is a change in opinion.

This is a Republican who has a moderate plan for climate change, sais we don't need to worry about Trump's Jim Jones kool-aid drinkers on climate change.

Trumps associates it with losing jobs, but it could also be a job winner.

It is great that he great about the "big issues", he needs a minority to blame it on - he tried blaming it on China, did not stick.

I am sure you believe his lie about Ted Cruz's dad involved in assassinating Kennedy, like his many lies - that just happen to involve political rivals. what a joke.
