Its about money. (& Math / Economists dictate that we need the immigrants to stay the richest so let them in.) This US govt link shows U.S. military spending in that year exceeding the next seven countries COMBINED: China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, France, the United Kingdom, India, and Germany.

I trust the reason we do is a good reason, probably because we sell the most arms also. I just don't trust the weirdo at the top, yesterday while signing a bill he was talking about being there with the 1st responders on 9/11. Just like he claimed he had hundreds of friends there. It is more than exaggerating it is oddly delusional. No one ever saw him. The closest thing is an interview from him looking out the window of his tower and him inappropriately bragging about how now he now had the tallest building in NY. It just seems dangerous to have him in a position of power, and how he oddly calls it "his" Army etc. I could accept a politician with his political positions, but I differ from his supporters who accept the weirdo-ism as part of the package. It seems like a dis-qualifier, they should have chose Rand Paul or somebody who is close in views but not such as consistently delusional, ie a weirdo. (I don't think the stock prices will matter as much if we get weirdo'd into a war.)

"I was down there also, but I'm not considering myself a first responder," Trump said. "But I was down there. I spent a lot of time down there with you."

Uh, what?
Let's be clear about what Trump is doing here: He is associating himself -- very closely -- with the men and women who were the first to respond to planes being crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. People who continue to suffer health issues due to their jobs.

I can take the provocation, but this is pure continuing self delusion. When something really bad happens we can't say we didn't see the neon warning signs.
You are focusing on things that are not very relevant in the big picture. What was the bill that he signed? Was it a good bill? Could it have been better?

Why is it important to you that when he says that he was in New York with the first responders, it doesn't count unless he was inhaling toxic dust at ground zero? I would have a hard time believing that he had no contact with first responders during and after the 911 attacks.

What kind of math are they teaching now days. We didn't need massive population to become the richest country. Why would we need impoverished immigrants to "stay the richest" country? When they come here illegally they will take low skilled jobs and drive wages down. Many won't even get jobs when welfare will make them rich by their standards.

I say more people = more problems.

I read more pro-Trump stuff than con. I know the “Persuasion 101” tricks as “anchors,” “intentional exaggeration,” and “thinking past the sale” to wage “three-dimensional chess” against his opponents and the media. But it could also be simply being weird. Weird is not a big deal, weird as president seems so odd it could be dangerous. R or D not an issue, this is off the charts weird. (His buddy the Mooch just said he will turn on the US). Anybody who know people with mental illness knows you should not condone baseless conspiracy theories. My Trump supporter friends think it is funny, I find it to be disturbing.

Conspiracism amounts to a direct attack on the foundations of liberal democracy and “knowledge-producing institutions.” As conspiracism takes root in our politics, we lose our capacity to deliberate about the direction of the country. And ultimately, democracy itself becomes impossible. - Just like the dudes on this site not believing NASA has the best information on Climate or are lying about it.

You are not thinking this immigrant thing through to its ultimate conclusion. If we allow anybody that can walk across our borders to stay here, China would send at least 100 million people, and they would be one generation away from voting us out of existence. That scenario is already happening...California was a Republican state before they were over run by Hispanics. Now California is bankrupt, like Illinois. If we allow people into this country that do not understand what made America great, America will no longer be great.

You are not understanding what made America great in the first place. In 1950 China had half a billion people...America had 150 million. Population was probably the only statistic that China beat us at. So population had very little to do with it. America is great because the constitution granted rights to the individual...not the government. The individual is sovereign to rule over themselves through Representative government...and a sovereign individual with the freedom to keep more of the fruits of his own labor will out perform ten individuals in a socialist country. As long as you don't violate someones rights you are free to do as you wish. Agencies like the EPA, Department of Education, FEMA, Department of Homeland security, NASA...you name the agency, they are all unconstitutional if they are making regulations. It is the elected lawmakers job to make laws, not unelected bureaucrats that are not held accountable by the people. The deep state resides in those agencies...They are the people that are appointed by politicians from both parties...their self interest becomes the reasons for the decisions that they make. Our bloated government is the biggest reason that China is even a factor. As we get farther from the original intent of the constitution, we will get closer to our demise.

If immigrants know nothing about our constitution, they are a threat to our existence.

Half of those baseless conspiracy theories have already been proven correct

I don't know if Global warming is a Chinese Hoax, but it is definitely a hoax...too many people have been caught lying, manipulating and openly changing historical data to achieve the results that they want. Politicians, if they want to grow Government, need to convince the people to pay more taxes. Fear is one of the tools that they use...money, in the form of grants and loans is another tool they use to buy a study that helps separate the people from their money. I don't know why it is so hard to believe that the sun is responsible for the earths temperature. https://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybe.../#2413963366c2

I don't think it is much of a stretch to believe that illegals voting is a big problem. We have states giving drivers licences to illegals, that also have motor voter laws. Early voting promotes fraud, Democrats want people in prison to vote. They wan't 16 year olds to vote. Oh, and you can do all this with out showing an ID to prove who you are. Voter fraud is real, the only debate is about how much is happening.

Muslim Americans did celebrate the 911 attacks. I saw the footage.

It is not even up for debate that the Trump campaign was being spied on. If you want to call it surveillance or anything else, I don't care...Trump called it a wiretap. The one thing that is very clear is that members of the Trump campaign were illegally unmasked by the Obama administration.

I would not say that Obama is not a citizen, Hillary started that, but I am not 100% sure that he was born in the US. Trump did succeed in getting Obama to show his birth certificate when nobody else could. That birth certificate left some questions that went unanswered. There was also the close associate to Barack that introduced him as "Born in Kenya" And then there was Barack's brother that tweeted that Barack was not born in the US. His mom was a citizen, so all that is irrelevant no mater where he was born.

Being weird is not a dis qualifier for becoming President.

I posted a link about the president's own FBI. If you want to call them the left and talk about how president's own FBI has a slant about Trump that is how the president feels also. I don't care about left or right, people can judge the weird stuff that comes out of Trump for them themselves. The main people who have said stuff about Trump are the people he hired, and are on the long list of leaving - latest today is the Mooch who sais he can no longer back the President but is still a Republican. I am not on the left, my only position is that he is a weirdo. And I like weird: Portandia, Always Sunny, etc. just not in my Presidents. One of my favorite podcasts is from a guy who predicted Trump would win & defends Trump - sort-of & not all the time, so I see both sides. His arguments are much better than those on this site. (He is predicting another landslide by the way.) I just see a more dangerous downside than most people. And conspiracy theories annoy me because I have seen the non-funny side of mental illness. People assume Trump is joking, there is no proof that he is. And that photo with the baby last weekend was simply CREEPY.

Are you saying that there is an Agency wide conspiracy against the President of the United States by the FBI. All 35,104 employees? What is your proof? Is it just because they dared to investigate after the Presidents son was meeting with Russian agents and then lied that it was about adoptions? (And was not charged because was considered so naive?)- That isn't worth at least looking into by the FBI? (And Trump has said he will to do it again for his upcoming election!)

All of the top people picked by Trump, admired professionals, end up saying how ridiculous it is that he President: Defense Secretary James Mattis compared him to a 5th grader. Gary Cohn called him a professional liar, John Kelly called him unhinged and an idiot, Rex Tillerson called him a moron - the list is long including all the people that went to jail to protect him. I am fine with a Republican President, couldn't we simply find one that isn't such a weirdo?
