Yeah, maybe Nebraska. I recall last year Nebraska's coach talking about likely beating Purdue and getting spanked. Illinois needs to look at Purdue & Northwestern as models as to how they can get better, they used to be like Illinois. Why is Illinois perennially poor in NCAA football? It is a mystery. Also, has anyone ever sat in the Colonnades Club box seats? Is there a way to get them at a discount?

I may be wrong, but if I had to guess, he just went out all night! LOL Simple twist of fate.

31-Aug Akron Win maybe
14-Sep Eastern Michigan Win I'd like to guarantee
21-Sep Nebraska Loss
12-Oct Michigan Loss
19-Oct Wisconsin Loss
2-Nov Rutgers Win could be, maybe a toss-up
30-Nov Northwestern Toss-up this being a home game is the only reason I say toss-up. Realistically, it should be a loss.
These are my quick guesses, with no research or study done.
No one, other than Alabama, can predict with any accuracy how their season should play out.

Does Alabama get spanked by Clemson again, looks like they will be.

247sports.com predicts a rough year for Illini football - Rutgers the only Big10 win. Interestingly they predicted Purdue to do poorly, but Minnesota and Nebraska to do well due to easier schedules.

Quarterback is one position where Illinois needs to break in a new starter. Former Husker AJ Bush exhausted his eligibility, while MJ Rivers elected to enter the transfer protocol, leaving five-star dual threat recruit Isaiah Williams (510 170 lbs.) as the likely starter, if only by default. Williams had a long offer sheet from nearly every top program to play slot receiver, but since Williams wanted to play quarterback, hes at Illinois.

Illinois Fighting Illini
2019 schedule: Akron, at UConn, Eastern Michigan, Nebraska, at Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, at Purdue, Rutgers, at Michigan State, at Iowa, Northwestern

Projected final record: 4-8, 1-8

Predicted losses: Nebraska, at Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, at Purdue, at Michigan State, at Iowa, Northwestern

The skinny: What games is Lovie Smith's team going to win this season in the Big Ten besides a home bout against Rutgers? Trying to find other victories is a challenge.
