Loaded sectional

South Chicago Sectional:

Not to mention a couple other decent teams. Congrats to any wrestler that gets out of there. I love this time of year.

Agreed. That there, is a meat grinder. Interesting to see how the change in sectional for 1006 affects their numbers getting downstate. I'm sure they're still going to have a bunch, but maybe not to the level they've been accustomed to competing out of the West?

Letís see who goes IESA off the rosters of those teams listed. A few of the teams on that list will not get double digit state qualifiers.

1006 seems to be the team to beat.
Force and Bolingbrook always near the top.
LW consistently above average. Waiting for their dominating midget teams to produce at novice/senior level.
Celtics are making their way back to the glory days.
Elevate is a new club but basically the contenders
Plainfield, not sure what theyíve ever done to be considered a top program but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Results donít lie.

It seems like only a few years ago that sectional was way down, the tide has definitely turned. There will be several very talented wrestlers not making it out of there.

Plainfield is only a dual team placer because of all the IESA kids they recruited for the duals. Lets see how many kids from their dual team starting line up actually wrestle at an IKWF regional this weekend.

Good luck to all the kids.

There are so many IESA kids that have been to IK tournaments and wrestled in the dual championship that this Sectional isn’t as loaded as it may seem.
