Montini 62, Dekalb 3

I didn't think Dekalb would win but I expected it to be much closer.

Do you, or anyone else, have a box score?

How much closer? Take a look at the rankings and individual results. All but One of Deks wrestlers were out ranked. If your a DeK fan, I get it. Dek has 7 wrestlers inside the top 10. Thats is a huge accomplishment. But Montini has 10 wrestelers inside the top 5. The team is built for national competition, did I say built (lol). I'm not affiliated with Dek but it looked like they had 5 wrestlers out tonight also.

So did I! Box score does not have D Curran, F Lopez, D Lopez and their big guy. Based on the results today, I think itís still a blow-out with them in the lineup. Are all of them injured?

I just saw a news write up that said they were injured and should be returning soon.

Looks to me like 120, 138, 152, 170, 195, 220 and 285 were out/injured.
120 - D Curran
138 - F Lopez
152 - D Lopez
170 - M Clayton (T Ikens 182 - B Bhuk 182/195)
195 - B Wilkenson
220 - B Mora
285 - G Colbert

I saw Colbert injury defaulted out of Dvorak.

Keeping the results the same where Dekalbs regular starters were in the lineup, but plugging in the ones who were out (according to past results on Track/Matmen) a best case scenario for Montini (given my best guesstamations) gives them a 44-13 win.
A best case scenario for DeKalb still gives Montini a 32-27 win.

Of course this is all conjecture, lineups could move around, a toss-up could obviously go either way, someone could get caught, etc.

Realistically, Montini wins by 10-15 points (or more) if DeKalb has all of their starters.

Not that DeKalb was going to win anyway, but missing that many starters (for whatever reason) is going to make for a very long (short) dual against one of the best teams in the country, much less the state.

Now..............take 6-7 starters out of Montini's lineup......

What kind of Chinese math is this?

Further, how long are Curran and Lopez going to hold on to those top 5 rankings - have they even wrestled a combined 5 matches all year?
