The countdown reaches its middle ten
Alketa Picari closed Part 2 with five consecutive consolation victories and a third-place IHSA medal. That ability to keep winning through the closing rounds carries directly into the next installment of Illinois Matwomen’s Top 50.
Part 3 features eight 2026 IHSA medalists, another wrestler with an earlier IHSA medal and a Northern Plains champion who came within one victory of the state podium. Four of these girls finished third at the latest IHSA tournament. Two reached the championship match. The group also includes a 2026 Fargo All-American and a U15 national runner-up.
