For the Class of 2027, the coming season offers one more chance to change the way a high school career is remembered. A returning champion can add another title. A medalist can climb. A wrestler outside the familiar names can make the postseason her own.
Ema Durst leads this edition of Illinois Matwomen’s Senior Top 50, followed by Ariella Dobin and Courtney Walls. All three won IHSA championships in 2026. Behind them is a class with enough accomplished wrestlers to make a number on a preseason list feel temporary.
This update was checked against the HS Rankings accessed October 28, the senior sheet, the latest available overall P4P workbook and independently verified event results. The 15 spotlights below were selected at random from the updated Top 50. The complete rankings, including each wrestler’s school, appear at the end.
