Carlos Champagne, Sr, Marian Catholic, 126/132 – Won his 4th straight East Suburban Catholic Conference Championship on Friday becoming the first Marian Catholic wrestler in school history to win 4 straight ESCC championships. Defeated 2A state runner-up Anthony Randazzo in the finals.
Maxx Fritz, Sr, Mt. Olive, 152 – Won championship of Litchfield tourney with three falls and a 9-3 decision over Arieh Hart, ranked #1 at 1A, in the championship.
Miles Hoey, Jr, Mt. Carmel, 138 – Unranked Hoey beat the #4 ranked wrestler in 3A, Dominick Ambrose, avenging his loss to him at CCL’s.
Zach Williard, Sr, Carbondale, 126 – Beat all-time pin leader and 2-time 1A state champ Chase Bittle of Belleville Althoff 5-2 at South 7 conference championship duals. Avenged earlier Murdale finals loss.
