MULVANE, KS • Inside of the Kansas Star Drive Event Center, Illinois marched nine more wrestlers onto Team Illinois and will add to the total of Illinoisians now headed to Fargo for a chance at All-American honors come July.
In the Junior division, three Freestylers qualified for this summer’s National Championships. On the 16U side, three more have earned the right to Freestyle in North Dakota, while three placed in Greco-Roman competition.
For now, much must be determined as far as how many wrestlers from Illinois will represent Team Illinois, but below is a list of the wrestlers from this past weekend’s Southern Plains who placed in the top six of their weight class and will now compete this summer at the National Championships.
