Diduch Leads the Way as Junior Ladies are Crowned Queens of Fargo; Turner Wins Title in 16U

FARGO, ND • Team Illinois’ Junior girls came into the world’s largest tournament with a bit of chip on their shoulders. In one respect, they entered the Fargodome with a great deal of talent that brought a great deal of firepower—so confidence was high and, in that alone, they knew that winning a national team title was very much a possibility. On the other hand, however, even with some very talented teams in the past, Illinois finest had struggled to bring home what has become that elusive national championship. But this year’s team was special, and special teams do special things. 

However, before Team Illinois reached destination Fargo, the ladies had already come together as a unit at their team camp. Their chemistry, as well as their desire to support one another, seemed almost instantaneous while signing in and going through their media day, and what was a natural bond hours before
