Test of the Best Set to Open Illinois’ Wrestling Season

BEDFORD PARK • Wrestling season is just about here, and Illinois MatMen is proud to lead into the 2023-2024 season with its annual Test of the Best event. This year’s competition will take place on Saturday night inside the Wintrust Sports Complex in Bedford Park at 6:30 p.m., and it will be packed with talent. In fact, in its four-year run, Test of the Best has had 49 state champions and 67 state medalists wrestle it out for no other reason than to simply compete.  

As in the past, the bouts will match up several top-ranked wrestlers across all three classifications; additionally, this year the women will be highlighted and included in the event for the first time.
