WADSWORTH, Ohio – Northwestern heavyweight Conan Jennings highlighted the team’s dual with No. 4 Ohio State by winning his seventh match of the year to cap the day’s events.
Jennings snapped a three-match slide with a 5-0 shut out decision over Josh Fox to improve to 7-4 overall and 5-2 in duals. The redshirt-sophomore has outscored his opponents, 36-14.
Northwestern dropped its opening Big Ten dual, 43-3, to the fourth-ranked Buckeyes.
Johnny Sebastian wrestled down at 165 lbs. for the first time this year after competing at 174 in the first six duals of the year. He lost a narrow 7-6 decision to Cody Burcher, just his second loss of the year.
All told, Ohio State had six wrestlers ranked in the top-10 at their respective weight classes and won eight matches by bonus points.
